Looking for flavourful coffee and that feel good factor? Well a popular Mission business can help! We are pleased to introduce you to local independent manufacturer and café, Grab-A-Java, who give you the opportunity to enjoy a freshly brewed, fair trade and organic cup of coffee right here in Mission.
Owner Dave Perritt opened the café 22 years ago and after years of searching for quality product that met his ethical viewpoint, decided to take manufacturing into his own hands. Now operating a small batch-roaster he is able to offer socially responsible coffee by purchasing fresh beans through Café Femenino, a program that helps female farmers to use the production and sale of their own product as the vehicle to create social change.
If you ever wondered where that magical morning mug comes from then head to the roasterie where your senses will be overwhelmed with the smell and sounds of cracking beans. Grab-A-Java roasterie is open Sunday to Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and offers drinks made fresh on the premises and a wide selection of coffee beans to take home . Find them at 7340 Murray Street, Mission, V2V 4A3 (access from Lougheed Hwy – north along Catherwood Street and left on 2nd Ave – parking on left)
Alternatively, hit up the Grab-A-Java café where the customer service is second to none and baked goods and gelato are also added to the mix. The café is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 2-33093 7th Avenue, Mission, V2V 2C9
